You can only maintain the data in the central system. The data is then automatically distributed to the child systems. These fields do not accept input in the child systems, but can only be displayed. All other fields that are not set to "global" accept input both in the central and in the child systems and are differentiated only by a different distribution after you have saved.
Local
You can only maintain the data in the child system. Changes are not distributed to other systems.
If the Local setup is used, the licenses are not stored in the default location where our connector expects to read. Instead they must be managed like a non-CUA mandant.
In such a setup, deactivate the workflow step for UserHasLicenses, and enhance the mapping in SAPUser (as is done in non-CUA SAP Mandant for the SAP license).
By default, in Manager, we have a check to determine display of some tabs based on whether they reference a CUA system or not. In the above scenario it would be necessary to create a custom tab to show field UID_SAPLicence@SAPUser
