Network communication between Safeguard PP appliances
Each Safeguard appliance will listen and communicate to each other on ports TCP/655, UDP/655 and TCP/443.
Network communications between Safeguard PP and Safeguard PS
SPP and SPS communicate both ways via TCP/8649 for. SPS also communicates to SPP on port TCP/443 at join time.
In summary if using firewalls:
- Ensure each Safeguard Password appliance will accept TCP/655, UDP/655 and TCP/443 for all other Safeguard Password appliances
- Ensure each Safeguard Password appliance will accept TCP/8649 and TCP/443 from all Safeguard Session appliances
- Ensure each Safeguard Session appliance will accept TCP/8649 from all Safeguard Password appliances
Telnet Tests
From SPP, Settings | Diagnostics | Telnet enter the SPS IP and port number and test, you should see "Connection Succeeded."
From SPS, Basic Settings | Troubleshooting | Connect to TCP port, enter SPP IP(s) and port number, connect, you should see "Connection established."
