A single failed login counts twice in the badpwdcount attribute when using Authentication services 4.2
You can check this as follows:

- Run the attrs command to show the current value of badpwdcount:
# /opt/quest/bin/vastool -u host/ attrs <username> badpwdcount
- Su to the user:
su - <username>
- Enter an incorrect password
- Run the attrs command again to check the new value of badpwdcount:
# /opt/quest/bin/vastool -u host/ attrs <username> badpwdcount
