The vasdev package is the package you will need to install to get the QAS programming API. The QAS developer packages can be found in the /SDK/[platform] subdirectories on the QAS product media. Select and install the vasdev package from the subdirectory that matches your development platform. Also included in the vas-sdk directory is the documentation.
The end result of using the QAS api is the ability to use a standard LDAP API call in code, compile the application against the QAS API for added functionality in a Microsoft Windows environment, and still be completely name space safe when used on a Unix system that may have other LDAP libraries (besides the QAS Library) installed.
