Within MCU, receive error "No Software Available" when trying to install AIX 7 and Solaris Sparc 10 and 11 clients (4233017)

In Management Console for Unix (MCU) version 2.4.2 when trying to install Quest Authentication Services (QAS) or Privilege Manager for Unix/Sudo to servers running AIX 7 and Solaris Sparc 10 and 11 the MCU is reporting that no software is available to install.

Product Defect:  801913 / 199612

There is a product defect present that is causing AIX  7 and Solaris Sparc 10 and 11 software to not show as available in MCU. MCU does not recognize the name of the client directory as it changed in the newer versions of the product.  

STATUS: This has been addressed in MCU 2.5.3.  From the 2.5.3 Release Notes: "MCU did not recognize newer QAS packages. 199662"

WORKAROUND: 

Step 1 - Navigate to the following location: C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Management Console for Unix\software\qas\default\client

Step 2 - Rename the folder labelled "aix-71" to "aix-53" and "solaris10-sparc" to be "solaris8-sparc"

Step 3 - Return to the MCU, the latest software package should now be available.

For Privilege Manager for Unix or Sudo a similar change is required, but for that software the directory named "aix71-rs6k" needs to be renamed to "aix52-rs6k".
