New Feature:
- Privilege Manager for Windows now supports the blacklisting of applications, giving admins the ability to block applications for users even when their standard domain user permissions would allow access by default.
Enhancements:
- Improved security through by updating security related components and signed certificates.
- We continue to work closely with our customers and have found and fixed numerous intermittent bugs, performance bottlenecks, and stability issues.
Product Licensing:
Each Privilege Manager license file is compatible with only a single major version of the product (eg. 3.x or 4.x). This means existing 3.x licenses will not be valid after upgrading to a 4.x build. Therefore, existing customers are required to obtain a new license file via the License Assistance portal (https://support.quest.com/contact-us/licensing) in order to be properly registered after upgrade.
NOTE: Privilege Manager for Windows does not phone home for product licensing. Refer to the Privilege Manager for Windows Administrator Guide for information on editions and applying a license.
