Welcome to syslog-ng Store Box. This document describes what is new in the latest version of syslog-ng Store Box (SSB).
For a full description on stable and feature releases, open the SSB product page on the Support Portal and navigate to Product Life Cycle & Policies > Product Support Policies > Software Product Support Lifecycle Policy.

SSB 7.1.0 is a minor release, with enhanced features and functionality. See New features.
New features in SSB 7.1.0:
The operating system underlying the SSB appliance has been upgraded. The upgrade brings you a more recent and thus, a more secure version of the operating system, with longer support lifetime.
The syslog-ng Store Box appliance now supports Ed25519 authentication keys for rsync backup policies.
The default RSA key length was increased to 4096 bits.

Starting from 01 March 2021, SSB version 5 LTS is not supported anymore. |

CAUTION: Before upgrading to SSB version 7.1.0 in High Availability (HA) mode, ensure that the nodes have already been restarted since the last upgrade. Otherwise, you have to restart the nodes before upgrading SSB to version 7.1.0. |
