Development has acknowledged the given behaviour as product defect 20078. Product defect 20078 is fixed in versions 7 and 6.1 SP3, and a hotfix can be provided for 6.1 SP2 through a service request. Please note that the fix depends on another fix for defect 19088 and they have to be applied in the correct order.
1. Apply Transport for 19088. Please note, the definition for the function VI_Ex2010_GenerateStartScript used in the parameter StartScriptOrPath in 143 steps of standard processes is changed by this step. As a result, any custom processes which use the old definition of the script will fail to compile. These errors can be ignored and have to be corrected manually in the next step. The following change is made as a result of the fix:
Public Overridable Function VI_Ex2010_GenerateStartScript(ByVal LDAPLogin As String, ByVal LDAPLoginPassword As String, ByVal DNSHostName As String) As String
Public Overridable Function VI_Ex2010_GenerateStartScript(ByVal LDAPLogin As String, ByVal LDAPLoginPassword As String, ByVal DNSHostName As String, ByVal DomainFQDN As String) As String
2. Correct StartScriptOrPath in custom processes to reflect the change of VI_Ex2010_GenerateStartScript. Amend a 5th parameter with the domain name. Please note, the resolution of the domain name depends on the base object of the process. When in doubt, please refer to the new standard process.
3. Apply Transport for 20078.
