DSI Module: Initial Synchronization Fails to sync objects from MS SQL Database as a filter condition is configured in the Initial Sync workflow (4322647)

The initial synchronization fails to synchronize the objects from the Microsoft (MS) SQL database as a filter condition is configured in the insert/update/delete step of the initial synchronization workflow for DSI Module, MS SQL Server /DB Level templates.

Please note: This issue is applicable only in One Identity Manager version 8.1.1.

This error is due to an issue in One Identity Manager version 8.1.1, referenced with product defect #31986.

WORKAROUND

To successfully synchronize objects from Microsoft SQL Database to One Identity Manager 8.1.1, please follow the below instructions.

Workaround for the MS SQL Server Level Project:

1. Open the Synchronization Editor.
2. Navigate to the MS SQL Server Level project.
3. Click on Mapping in the left pane.
4. Double click the Logins Mapping set and change the “vrtTypeDesc_type” property mapping rule to bi-directional.
5. Double click the ServerRoles Mapping set, add a new fixed value property “vrtType” of type string in the “UNSGroupB” object.
6. Create a bidirectional property mapping rule for the new property “vrtType” created in #5 and the “type” property in the object “sys.server_principals”.
7. Commit the changes to database.

Workaround for the MS SQL Database Level Project:

1. Open the Synchronization Editor.
2. Navigate to the MS SQL DB Level project.
3. Click on Mapping in the left pane.
4. Double click the Users Mapping set, add a new fixed value property “vrtType” of type string in the “UNSAccountB” object.
5. Create a bidirectional property mapping rule for the new property “vrtType” created in #4 and the “type” property in the object “sys.database_principals”.
6. Double click the Roles Mapping set, add a new fixed value property “vrtType” of type string in the “UNSGroupB” object.
7. Create a bidirectional property mapping rule for the new property “vrtType” created in #6 and the “type” property in the object “sys.database_principals”.
8. Commit the changes to database.

STATUS

Development will provide a hotfix for product defect #31986 for One Identity Manager 8.1.1 in the future.
