When attempting to assign an Employee to a New Manager from within the web portal the following error is displayed:
"You do not have permission to assign new manager"
The "Assign to new manager" option only works for active Employees. If the Employee needs the manager updated then the Employee will need to be activated first.
Follow the steps below to re-enable the disabled Employee:
1. Login to Manager.
2. Click on Employees.
3. Click on Inactive Employees:
4. Search for the affected Employee.
5. Once located, click on the Employee.
6. Under "Tasks" select "Re-enable employee" (this option is only available when the master data for the Employee is open).
7. Click the Save button.
It will now be possible to assign a manager to the Employee through the web portal, e.g.:
