Web Portal Errors & Unable To Compile -
Description
The web portal will not load. The following error is presented in the logs:
"Error in CCC_Custom_Module, nodes VI.WebDesigner.Definition.Controls.ObjectSwitch.ObjectSwitchControlReference: The virtual property CustomProperty on the collection CustomCollection is not mapped to a property of a local collection."
When attempting to compile the web project via web designer a similar error message will be displayed:
The virtual property propteryname on the collection collectionname is not mapped to a property of a local collection. -
Cause
A column is missing from a collection of the affected Module. -
Resolution
To add a column to a Collection:
1. Select "Navigation" via the "View" menu:
2. Locate the affected module:
3. Expand "Collections":
4. Right-click the appropriate table name and select "Property":
5. Select the "Node Editor" in the bottom section of the window:
6. Name the "Identifier" to match the missing "CustomProperty" named in the error:
7. Select the appropriate values for the data. I.E. "Data Type" set to System.String for a string value:
8 .Save the new collection item:
9. Return to the "Start Page" and click "Debug" to verify the issues have all been addressed:

Additional Information
This can happen to out of the box properties as well on a custom module. Again the same resolution is applied, the collection name and the missing property name are listed in the error message that is displayed.
