Error: “ Error creating connection parameter from a parameter string.” (4319959)

When a synchronization project is created by the commandline program "SynchronizationEditor.CLI.exe", based on a SEWS file, the following error occurs:

Error creating connection parameter from a parameter string.
        This connection parameter name (test;basepassword) is not valid! It can only contain letters, underline and numbers and it may not start with a number and must be at least 1 character long.

The problem is that a requested parameter contains a semicolon.  This is a product defect (32496).
