Error "Authentication failed on the remote side (the stream might still be available for additional authentication attempts)" -
Description
A remote connection job server is setup and the Synchronization Editor is configured to connect to the Target System using this remote server. However, while trying to access the target system objects using the Target System Browser in the sync editor, the following error message is displayed:

Cause
The workstation running the Synchronization Editor and the Remote Connection Job Server are in different Domains.
For this example let's assume the workstation is joined to "Domain A" and the Remote Connection Job server is joined to "Domain B".
An Active Directory (AD) group from "Domain B" is entered as the value for the "Permitted AD group" Parameter in the RemotePlugin configuration of the remote connection server. However, the User logged in to the Workstation in "Domain B" is not a member of the AD group configured in the "Permitted AD group" Parameter. -
Resolution
The remote connection via Remote connection Plugin Server should still function even if the workstation is from a different domain compared to the remote connection server. This is possible provided that that the user logged into the workstation is a member in the permitted group declared in the RemoteConnect plugin parameter (e.g. "Permitted AD group").
Add the user logged in to the workstation as a member to the AD group in the "Permitted AD group" Parameter.
Or
Login to the workstation with another user who is a member of the AD group configured in the "Permitted AD group" Parameter.
