WORKAROUND
If certification based authentication is being used please use the steps below:
- Login to the synchronization editor
- Load the synchronization project
- Click on variables
- Set: "CP_ConnectionPoolSize = 1" - Note this can slow down the synchronization but it does allow it to complete.
- Save the changes
For some environments when you get a warning on the stdioprocessor logs of the type: "File 'VI.Projector.Exchange.Common.BrokenConnectionExpressions.txt' not found. Using internal expressions only." creating this file with the content "You must call Connect" on the same folder the jobservice is running can help overcome connectivity issues when the environment has a large amount of objects to manager (e.g. Mailboxes)
STATUS
Waiting for a fix in a future release of Identity Manager. If impacted by this issue please contact Support and request a hotfix for defect number 36709 or the newer hotfix 37137 for version 9.1.1 that includes a solution for large environments that open and close connections to Exchange Online more often and can run into the race condition of sometimes a connection still has no connection id and all connections are disconnected in consequence hindering synchronization performance.
Please note that Exchange Online PowerShell module version 3.4.x needs to be installed on the job server that connects to this target system in order for this hotfix to work.
