To add mail-enabled public folders to a mail-enabled distribution group

In the Manager, select the Microsoft Entra ID > Mail-enabled distribution groups category.

Select the mail-enabled distribution group in the result list.
- Select the Assign mail-enabled public folder task.

In the Add assignments pane, assign mail-enabled public folders.
TIP: In the Remove assignments pane, you can remove assigned mail-enabled public folders.
To remove an assignment
- Save the changes.
Extended properties are meta objects, such as operating codes, cost codes, or cost accounting areas that cannot be mapped directly in One Identity Manager.

To specify extended properties for mail-enabled distribution groups

In the Manager, select the Microsoft Entra ID > Mail-enabled distribution groups category.

Select the mail-enabled distribution group in the result list.

Select Assign extended properties.

In the Add assignments pane, assign extended properties.
TIP: In the Remove assignments pane, you can remove assigned extended properties.
To remove an assignment
- Save the changes.
When you delete a mail-enabled distribution group, the Microsoft Entra ID group associated with the mail-enabled distribution group is also deleted.
To delete a mail-enabled distribution group

In the Manager, select the Microsoft Entra ID > Mail-enabled distribution groups category.

Select the mail-enabled distribution group in the result list.

Click in the result list.
- Confirm the security prompt with Yes.
Microsoft 365 groups are loaded into by synchronization. You can create and edit Microsoft 365 groups in . When you create a Microsoft 365 group, a Microsoft Entra ID group is also created and linked to the Microsoft 365 group.
In One Identity Manager, you can assign Microsoft 365 groups directly to mailboxes, mail users, and mail contacts or they can be inherited through departments, cost centers, locations, or business roles. Users can also request Microsoft 365 groups through the Web Portal. To do this, Microsoft 365 groups are supplied by the IT Shop.
