The Job Service fails to connect to, or will randomly disconnect from, the Oracle database for Identity Manager. This error may have just started to occur even though the Job Service never had any issues in the past, or it may start to occur upon the installation of the Job Service.
When looking in the Job Service log file, the following error can be seen repeatedly.
"Exception occured in DbRequestQueue (thread: Database Job Requests)"
"[Devart.Data.Oracle.OracleException] Server did not respond within the specified timeout interval"
"at VI.Base.AsynchronousQueue`1._AsynchronousLoop()"
"at VI.JobService.DbProvider.DbRequestQueue.OnEntriesArrived()"
"at VI.DB.Implementation.Connection.Resume()"
"at VI.DB.ConnectionServices.ViConnectionBase.Open()"
"at Devart.Data.Oracle.OracleConnection.Open()"
"at Devart.Common.DbConnectionBase.Open()"
"at Devart.Common.DbConnectionClosed.Open(DbConnectionBase outerConnection)"
"at Devart.Common.DbConnectionFactory.b(DbConnectionBase A_0)"
"at Devart.Common.DbConnectionFactory.a(DbConnectionBase A_0, k A_1)"
"at Devart.Data.Oracle.cw.a(k A_0, Object A_1, DbConnectionBase A_2)"
"at Devart.Data.Oracle.OracleInternalConnection..ctor(ag connectionOptions, OracleInternalConnection proxyConnection)"
"at Devart.Data.Oracle.ba.a(ag A_0, al A_1)"
This error may be caused by:
1. Connectivity issues to the Database
2. The drivers for the Network Card for the Job Service server may need to be updated (especially if the server is a Virtual Machine).
