Recently purchased syslog-ng Premium Edition does not start after installation.
# systemctl start syslog-ng

Currently syslog-ng has two stable version syslog-ng Premium Edition 6 and 7, but license file is generated only for the latest version.
Syslog-ng PE 6 does not start with a license file for PE 7.
- Check your syslog-ng version
syslog-ng -V | head -n1
- Check "Version" field of the license file
syslog-ng PE 6 --> Version: 6.0
syslog-ng PE 7 --> Version: Rolling
If the installed version is syslog-ng PE 6 but the license file is generated for PE 7 (Version: Rolling), tThere are two possible ways to resolve this issue.
SOLUTION 1
Install syslog-ng PE 7 which corresponds to the version of the license you are using
SOLUTION 2
Request an updated license for syslog-ng PE 6 at https://support.oneidentity.com/contact-us/licensing
