JProbe
RMI calls are fully supported by all JProbe products. However, the remote code is not profiled, only the RMI invocation call is. This is due to the fact that the RMI call execute code in a separately running process. Therefore this code is not running in the JVM being profiled by JProbe. Thus the call to the remote JVM will be the last node in the call graph.
As a result, to profile java code that is invoked in a remote JVM process using RMI, the remote process (JVM) must be run using JProbe. This will mean ensuring that the remote process is started using jplauncher instead of java.
