A security vulnerability was discovered in a cookie used by Safeguard for Privileged Passwords when logging in. This could allow an attacker to gain unauthorized access to the system.
This only impacts Safeguard for Privileged Passwords running in VMware or Hyper-V. It does not impact any other platform. Please see KB 4376740 for more specifics.
How does this affect me?
We recommend that all customers of Safeguard for Privileged Passwords running on VMware or Hyper-V upgrade to the latest available version.
Resolution
A security fix has been released for Safeguard for Privileged Passwords in version 7.0.5.1 LTS, 7.4.2, and 7.5.2. If you are running Safeguard for Privileged Passwords on VMware or Hyper-V, you must upgrade to one of these versions.
