Running the command vastool list user<username></username>showed the following error: ERROR: Could not find user in cache, err = 2
The user only had pre-Windows 2000 account information (sAMAccountName ) listed in Active Directory, but not the FQDN (userPrincipalName) authentication information.
Make sure the User logon name field is populated with the logon and domain name under Account tab in User properties.
VAS by default uses the UPN ( userPrincipalName ) field for naming information and AD queries, with it un-set, VAS is unable to locate the user.
