syslog-ng Premium Edition 6.0.24 - Release Notes

New Features in syslog-ng Premium Edition 6.0.24

Version 6.0.24 of syslog-ng Premium Edition (syslog-ng PE) has the following new features:

New features in product

  • OpenSSL version uplifted to 1.1.1v

  • Added support for Windows Server 2022 in syslog-ng Agent for Windows

  • Added support for Windows 11 in syslog-ng Agent for Windows

 Caution:

The minimum version 10.0.20348.740 of Windows Server 2022 or the minimum version 10.0.22000.739 of Windows 11 is mandatory.

Changes in documentation

  • The syslog-ng Agent for Windows Administration Guide has been updated to reflect the changes in documentation.

Upgrade and installation instructions

To install or upgrade syslog-ng Premium Edition, follow the instructions in the syslog-ng Premium Edition Administration Guide, or the Administrator Guide for syslog-ng Agent for Windows.

NOTE:When using syslog-ng Premium Edition version 6.0.22, consider the following:

  • Upgrade notes from version 6.0.19: Starting from syslog-ng PE version 6.0.20 and after 31-July-2020, only AIX 7 platform and syslog-ng Agent for Windows are supported. For a detailed list, see Supported platforms in The syslog-ng Premium Edition 6 Administration Guide.

  • syslog-ng Agent for Windows: Starting from syslog-ng Agent 6.0.20, Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7 are not supported anymore.

  • Platforms supported in syslog-ng Premium Edition 6LTS:

    • AIX 7.1

    • syslog-ng Agent for Windows

  • Platforms supported in syslog-ng Agent for Windows:

    • Microsoft Windows Server 2012 (x86_64)
