I am not getting any data at all in our vsj_audit.log file. It is created when the filter starts with 0 bytes and never gets any data inside. Can you please forward details on putting the Quest filter into debug mode and any other details related to logging problems with the examples.
For further useful information, set the java options idm.spnego.debug=true and jcsi.kerberos.debug=true (the same way you set com.wedgetail.idm.password). Then look in your Tomcat logs directory and there should be a standard out or standard error log file with VSJ log messages.
You can also Create a log4.xml file and place it in the WEB-INF/classes directory of your web Application. The file should resemble the following:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<!DOCTYPE log4j:configuration SYSTEM "log4j.dtd">
<log4j:configuration xmlns:log4j="http://jakarta.apache.org/log4j/">
<appender name="FA" class="org.apache.log4j.FileAppender">
<param name="file" value="vsj_audit.log"/>
<layout class="org.apache.log4j.SimpleLayout"/>
</appender>
<root>
<priority value ="debug" />
<appender-ref ref="FA"/>
</root>
</log4j:configuration>
When the logger is run it first looks for the log4j.xml file in the classes folder, if it can't find it, it will then look for the *.properties file that is specified in the web.xml file.
