Use the following steps to easily change the Active Roles database:
- Open the Active Roles Configuration Center
- Under Administration Service, click Manage Settings
- At the bottom under Active Roles Database, click the Change button
- Configure the connection information to the new location of the configuration database (and management history database if stored separately) and click the Next button
- On the Ready to Change screen, click the Change button
- Once completed, click the Finish button
A prompt will appear to restart the Administration Service. The Administration Service needs to be restarted to start up using the new configuration database settings.
