Enabling or disabling multisubnetfailover on the SQL Server connection string in the Active Roles Configuration Center after the Active Roles Web Interface is configured will delete all Active Roles Web Interface sites (4374079)

WORKAROUND 1

If the issue has already been encountered: manually recreate and reconfigure the Active Roles Web Interface sites. The configurations are still present in the Active Roles Configuration database, but the sites and linked configurations are deleted. Choose the option to Use an existing configuration and choose the correct Web Interface configuration when recreating the sites.

WORKAROUND 2

If the issue has not yet been encountered: the defect only exists in the Active Roles Configuration Center. This issue can be bypassed by enabling MultiSubnetFailover directly in the Windows Registry on the Active Roles Administration Service host.

1. On the Active Roles Administration Service host, as a local administrator, run regedit in an elevated command prompt
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\One Identity\Active Roles\Configuration\Service
3. Under both the DatabaseConnectionString and CHDatabaseConnectionString keys, create a new string value named MultiSubnetFailover
4. Set MultiSubnetFailover to True
5. Restart the Active Roles Administration Service
6. Repeat these steps on all Active Roles Administration Service hosts
7. To disable MultiSubnetFailover, delete the key and restart the Active Roles Administration Service
