Preventing the Password Generation Script from creating an real word (4379935)

For various reasons, it can be useful to prevent the Password Generation Script from randomly generating a real word.

This is especially useful with custom Password Policies that include a "dictionary rule" or a list of forbidden words.

Enhancement ID 499121 has been created so that the built-in Active Roles Password Generation Script will not randomly generated a real word.

WORKAROUND

Modify the parameters on the policy linked to the Password Generation script and remove all lowercase and uppercase vowels:

a,e,i,o,u,y,A,E,I,O,U,Y

Additionally, removing the lowercase L (l) can reduce ambiguity with the number 1.

STATUS

Product Management will evaluate the request and this feature may become available in a future release of the product.

There are no guarantees that this specific enhancement request will be implemented in a future release.
