Checklist:
1. Services status check In the Operations Support Portal, check the system and service status to ensure that services are running and operational. This can be performed at the URL: https://{Your_URL_Here}/ApiServer/html/qer-app-operationssupport/#/SystemStatus
2. Process tasks check In the Operations Support Portal, check the status of processes for processing tasks or tasks which have stopped processes. This check will show any processes which have stopped processing due to an error, such as a connectivity issue, or other issues. These can be viewed at: https://{Your_URL_Here}/ApiServer/html/qer-app-operationssupport/#/Jobs
Process status information is also available within the Job Queue Info tool. The Job Queue Info displays the details of the processes executed, pending, completed and any error processes.
The Job Queue Info tool is included as part of the software download package of IMOD.
3. Source system synchronization check This is to check the integration and synchronization with your source system, such as SAP SuccessFactors or Workday. Using the Synchronization Editor, a sync simulation can be run, or alternatively use the Run option trigger a sync.
The Synchronization Editor is included as part of the software download package of IMOD
4. Web portal access check Check the availability and authentication to the web user portal. If configured, test the authentication with an external identity provider, such as OneLogin or Azure AD, to ensure that users can access the web portal. The end user web portal is available at the following URL: https://{Your_URL_Here}/ApiServer/html/qer-app-portal/#/dashboard
5. Access request & review workflow process check This check will test the configured approval workflow processes and any configured subsequent activities and processes that will be generated from the decision of the approval workflow. Once authenticated to the web portal, check the functionality for a user to submit an access request, or an approver to complete an access review.
As a user, authenticate to the web portal and submit an access request for an application or entitlement. For example, temporary membership to a group in Active Directory or Entra ID. Ensure that the approver receives the notification of a new pending request, and either approve or deny the request. If the request is approved, this will also generate a provisioning event to the target application.
Monitor the status of the task and processes within the Operations Support Portal or Job Queue Info for any errors.
6. Provisioning check This check will test the integration to target systems by performing a provisioning event. A provisioning event can be generated by submitting an access request as described in the previous item.
A provisioning event can also be initiated manually as a self-service update within the web portal. For example, a user can update their profile information (i.e.: mobile number) within the web portal which will cause a provisioning event to update the user details in the target system.
Monitor the status of the task and processes within the Operations Support Portal or Job Queue Info for any errors.
7. Report generation and email notification check This check will test the report generation and email notification functionality within the platform.
As an authorised user, access the web portal and open the report subscriptions option. In report subscriptions, select the vertical 3-dot menu button (also known as the ‘kebab menu icon’) for an existing subscription and select the task “Send report to me”. If an existing report subscription is not available, click on the “Add subscription” button to add a new subscription.
Monitor the status of the task and processes within the Operations Support Portal or Job Queue Info for any errors.
