Error: Attribute name must not start with non-alphanumerical character when adding a member to an Active Roles group (4378093)

When updating an Active Directory Group membership via the Active Roles connector, the following error is observed:

Attribute name must not start with non-alphanumerical character

WORKAROUND:

Within Manager click on the group and under the Active Roles tab uncheck the following options:

Approval by the owner of the group

Approval by a additional owner of the group

STATUS:

Waiting for a fix in a future release of Identity Manager. If impacted by this issue please contact Support and request a hot fix for defect number 474093
