Installing Authentication Services on an AIX WPAR (Workload Partition) -

Installing Authentication Services on the Global Partition works as expected however when installing on the WPAR with install.sh it shows Authentication Services as already installed. -
原因
This is due to the the /usr and the /opt file systems being mounted from the global system hosting the WPAR. The problem it does not create the entries in /etc and /var. -
解决办法
For shared system wpars to make software available in one or more WPARs, run the following command in the global environment:
syncwpar wpar_name1 wpar_name2From IBM:
The shared form (shared /usr) of a system WPAR has the /usr file and the /opt file systems mounted from the global system hosting the WPAR. For shared system WPARs, all changes within the /usr file and the /opt file systems are immediately visible within the WPAR along with the installation files and information required to synchronize the non-shared (root) portion of the WPAR global system within the /usr file system. The syncwpar command will synchronize a shared WPAR with its global environment.
