Is it possible to authenticate against a remote system using a smart card over SSH? -

It is possible to use smartcards to authenticate over ssh, however in order to do it you would need SSH software that supports that functionality. Tectia is one example that supports this configuration.Once you have the appropriate software, it can still be difficult getting the configuration right. We would recommend contacting the vendor of the SSH software for assistance setting it up as this isn't something that we can provide support for.
