When running front end tools (e.g. Launch Pad), the application detects a update from the database is required, thus triggering a prompt window to close the current front end tool so the Automatic update process can complete:
After the update process completes, attempting to run the same front end tool again triggers the Automatic update window, and again prompts the user to close the current application in order to complete the update process. This will continue repeating, making it impossible to run the front end application.
The Automatic Update process updates files (e.g. .dll ) in the installation directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\One Identity\One Identity Manager). Hence, the user running the application requires sufficient permissions in order to allow automatic update to complete successfully. Alternatively, the user can run the front end tools as Administrator on the system.
