Is there a Safeguard Authentication Services (SAS) best practices guide for anti-virus exclusions. -

We are installing a new version of McAfee and when scanning the /opt/quest and /var/opt/quest directories. See attached for more detail. Do you recommend or provide exclusion documentation of those paths to fix this problem? -

No there is not a Safeguard Authentication Services (SAS) best practices guide for anti-virus exclusions.
It has been seen, as an example, that McAfee will flag SAS files for having locks on them, McAfee Event ID 1048.
It is expected behaviour that SAS will occasionally have locks on it's files when they are in use by SAS processes.
If you do not want these events showing up in your scans periodically then McAfee recommends putting in exclusions for them.
