When attempting to access the reporting capabilities in the Privilege Manager console, the following error message may appear:
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Server doesn't support requested protocol)
A firewall may be enabled and blocking the necessery ports to access the SQL information.
Disable the firewall or add the following firewall exceptions:
A port exception for TCP Port 1433
A port exception for UDP Port 1434
A port exception for TCP 8003*
A program exception for sqlserv.exe
* Default port for web service is 8003. Port may differ if it was changed via Privilege Manager Server Configuration.
