Active Directory users trying to log in to SSB gui receives error: Authentication failure
Click on the Test button
You should see a pop-up Result window saying Connection succeeded.

How to test the Port
Go to Basic Settings | Troubleshooting | Connect to TCP port
Enter in port 389 in the TCP port field
In order to keep ssh gui up and ssh in at the same time, you will need to run a remote command in ssh. You can accomplish this in putty by doing the following:
SSH into the SSB
Please note that you also must enable ssh in the SSB gui. Please see KB313934 on instructions how to do this.
