How to edit base objects

To edit a base object

  1. Select the Configuration > Base objects category.
  2. Select a base object in the document view and click .
  3. Edit the base objects's main data.
  4. Click OK.

How to delete base objects

To delete a base object

  1. Select the Configuration > Base objects category.
  2. Select a base object in the document view and click .
  3. Confirm the security prompt with Yes.

Properties of base objects

Enter the following properties for a base object.

Property

Description

SynchronizationClosed has no base object

Defines whether a specific base object is required for synchronization.

If this option is set, a specific object cannot be selected from the base table.

Base table

Select the table from which to select the base object, for example, ADSDomain.

Base objectClosed

Select the object from the base table formed by the base object for synchronization and provisioning processes.

Synchronization server

Select the synchronization serverClosed.

Server functionClosed

The server’s server function that synchronizes Single object synchronization and provisioning types. This allows parallel editing. If no server function is given, the synchronization server handles these processes.

Assign a customClosed server function.

Variable setClosed

Select the variable set that contains the connection parameter which corresponds with the base object. Variables from selected variable sets are displayed.

For each base objects there must be a start up configuration, which uses the same variable set.

To display the schema overview

  1. Edit the system connection properties.

  2. Open the SchemaClosed classes view.

    This displays the schema type and schema class structures.
