Steps to move ARS Sync Services DB data into another SQL Server. -
Lösung
1.- Create a backup of the Sync Service configuration1.1.- Open Active Roles Synchronization Service Console1.2.- Click on the settings (cog) icon1.3.- Click Export Configuration1.4.- Provide a configuration file name and path, and enter a password to encrypt the file with1.5.- Click Ok1.6.- When prompted the configuration profile saved successfully click ok2.- Backup both Sync Service databases (config and data)3.- Stop Sync Services on all servers (within the same instance)4.- Move the SQL Database to the new host5.- On Each Sync Service server within the instance:5.1.- Open registry editor5.2.- Navigate to:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\One Identity\Active Roles\Configuration\SyncService\DBConnectionStrings\QCConfiguration5.3.- Modify the Data Source DWORD, changing the SQL Server to the new server5.4.- If required change the Initial Catalog DWORD to the moved DBs name5.5.- Navigate to:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\One Identity\Active Roles\Configuration\SyncService\DBConnectionStrings\QCExecutionData5.6.- Modify the Data Source DWORD, changing the SQL Server to the new server5.7.- If required change the Initial Catalog DWORD to the moved DBs name5.8.- Close registry editor6.- Restart Sync Service service on first Server, configure that Sync Services is available by opening the Active Roles 7.3 Synchronization Service Console, if it is, restart the service on the other servers
