Requesting deletion of Active Directory groups

To delete Active Directory groups you must request the Delete Active Directory group product.

To delete an Active Directory group

  1. In the menu bar, click Requests > New request.

  2. On the New Request page, in the Service Categories pane, click the Active Directory groups service category.

  3. Select the check box next to Delete Active Directory group.

  4. Click Add to cart.

  5. In the Request Details side panel, in the Active Directory group to delete drop-down, select the Active Directory group that you want to delete.

  6. Click Apply.

  7. Click Add to cart.

    TIP: You can also add more products to your shopping cart and configure various settings. For more information, see Managing products in the shopping cart.

  8. Click Go to cart.

  9. On the Shopping Cart page, click Submit.

Requesting new SharePoint groups

To create a new SharePoint group, you must request the New SharePoint Group product.

To request a new SharePoint group

  1. In the menu bar, click Requests > New request.

  2. On the New Request page, in the Service Categories pane, click the SharePoint groups service category.

  3. Select the check box next to New SharePoint group.

  4. Click Add to cart.

  5. In the Request Details side panel, perform one of the following actions:

    • As a requester without responsibility for the target system, enter a name for the new group in the Suggested name field.

    • As the target system manager, provide additional details about the new group:

      • Site collection: Select a site collection where the group will be applied. A site collection groups sites together. User account and their access permissions are managed on the sites.

      • Display name: Enter a name for the new group.

      • Description: Enter a description for the SharePoint group.

  6. Click Apply.

  7. Click Add to cart.

  8. Click Go to cart.

  9. On the Shopping Cart page, click Submit.

Requesting Microsoft Entra ID role assignments

To assign a Microsoft Entra ID scoped role assignment to a user account, group, or service principal, you must request the Microsoft Entra ID role assignment product.

To request a Microsoft Entra ID role assignment

  1. In the menu bar, click Requests > New request.

  2. On the New Request page, in the Service Categories pane, click the Microsoft Entra ID roles service category.

  3. Next to Microsoft Entra ID role assignment, select the check box.

  4. Click Add to cart.

  5. In the Request Details side panel, in the Microsoft Entra ID tenant drop-down, select the Microsoft Entra ID tenant in which the assignment will take effect.

  6. In the Type of principal drop-down, select whether the assignment is for a user account, groups, or a service principal.

  7. In the Principal drop-down, select the appropriate user account, group, or service principal according to your selection.

  8. In the Microsoft Entra ID role drop-down, select the Microsoft Entra ID role to assign.

  9. Perform one of the following actions:

    • If you do not want to limit the validity period of the assignment, in the Expiration type drop-down, select the value Permanent.

    • To limit the validity period of the assignment, in the Expiration type drop-down, select the value Time period. Specify the validity period using the Start date and End date fields.

  10. Click Apply.

  11. Click Add to cart.

  12. Click Go to cart.

  13. On the Shopping Cart page, click Submit.

Requesting Microsoft Entra ID role eligibilities

To assign a Microsoft Entra ID scoped role eligibility to a user account, group, or service principal, you must request the Microsoft Entra ID role eligibility product.

To request a Microsoft Entra ID role eligibility

  1. In the menu bar, click Requests > New request.

  2. On the New Request page, in the Service Categories pane, click the Microsoft Entra ID roles service category.

  3. Next to Microsoft Entra ID role eligibility, select the check box.

  4. Click Add to cart.

  5. In the Request Details side panel, in the Microsoft Entra ID tenant drop-down, select the Microsoft Entra ID tenant in which the assignment will take effect.

  6. In the Type of principal drop-down, select whether the assignment is for a user account, groups, or a service principal.

  7. In the Principal drop-down, select the appropriate user account, group, or service principal according to your selection.

  8. In the Microsoft Entra ID role drop-down, select the Microsoft Entra ID role to assign as role eligibility.

  9. Perform one of the following actions:

    • If you do not want to limit the validity period of the assignment, in the Expiration type drop-down, select the value Permanent.

    • To limit the validity period of the assignment, in the Expiration type drop-down, select the value Time period. Specify the validity period using the Start date and End date fields.

  10. Click Apply.

  11. Click Add to cart.
