Welcome to syslog-ng Store Box. This document describes what is new in the latest version of syslog-ng Store Box (SSB).
For a full description on stable and feature releases, open the SSB product page on the Support Portal, then navigate to Product Life Cycle & Policies > Product Support Policies > Software Product Support Lifecycle Policy.
NOTE: Due to complexity of deployment, configuration, and design, you may require assistance from One Identity Professional Services while introducing new or additional:

SSB 7.4.0 is a minor release, with no new functionality. See Resolved issues.
syslog-ng Store Box (SSB) is supported on the following hardware and virtual platforms.
SSB is supported on the following hardware platforms:

syslog-ng Store Box (SSB) Appliance 3500
syslog-ng Store Box (SSB) Appliance 4000
SSB is supported on the following virtual platforms:
VMware ESXi server 4.0 or later
Microsoft Hyper-V
Microsoft Azure
Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (AWS EC2)

Caution: From SSB version 7.0.1 LTS onwards, the following hardware appliances are no longer supported:

The following is a list of features that are no longer supported starting with SSB 7.4.0.

Caution:
Starting from 01 March 2021, SSB version 5 LTS is not supported anymore. |

CAUTION: Before upgrading to SSB version 7.4.0 in High Availability (HA) mode, ensure that the nodes have already been restarted since the last upgrade. Otherwise, you have to restart the nodes before upgrading SSB to version 7.4.0. |

Caution: From SSB version 7.0.1 LTS onwards, the following hardware appliances are no longer supported:
