After you have entered the main data, you can run the following tasks.
Use this task to obtain an overview of the most important information about a group.
To obtain an overview of a group

In the Manager, select the Google Workspace > Groups category.

Select the group in the result list.

Select the Google Workspace group overview task.
Extended properties are meta objects, such as operating codes, cost codes, or cost accounting areas that cannot be mapped directly in One Identity Manager.

To specify extended properties for a group

In the Manager, select the Google Workspace > Groups category.

Select the group in the result list.

Select Assign extended properties.

In the Add assignments pane, assign extended properties.
TIP: In the Remove assignments pane, you can remove assigned extended properties.
To remove an assignment
- Save the changes.
Define the group managers for a group. Both user accounts and external users can be assigned as group managers.
To specify user accounts as group managers of a group

In the Manager, select the Google Workspace > Groups category.

Select the group in the result list.

Select the Assign group managers task.

In the Table menu, select the Google Workspace user accounts table.

In the Add assignments pane, assign the user accounts.
TIP: In the Remove assignments pane, you can remove assigned user accounts.
To remove an assignment
- Save the changes.
In order to assign external users as group managers, the Allow external members option must be set for this group.
To specify external users as group managers of a group

In the Manager, select the Google Workspace > Groups category.

Select the group in the result list.

Select the Assign group managers task.

In the Table menu, select the Google Workspace external email addresses table.

In the Add assignments pane, assign the external email addresses.
TIP: In the Remove assignments pane, you can remove external email addresses.
To remove an assignment
- Save the changes.
NOTE: By default, Google Workspace customers and groups cannot be assigned as group managers. However, these assignments are possible in the Google admin console. If these assignments exist in the target system, they are imported into the One Identity Manager database during synchronization. Existing assignments can be displayed in the Manager.
To check whether groups are assigned to a group as the group manager

In the Manager, select the Google Workspace > Groups category.

Select the group in the result list.

Select the Assign group managers task.

In the Table menu, select the Google Workspace groups table.
In the Remove assignments pane, all assigned groups are displayed.
To check whether the customer is assigned to a group as the group manager

In the Manager, select the Google Workspace > Groups category.

Select the group in the result list.

Select the Assign group managers task.

In the Table menu, select the Google Workspace customers table.
In the Remove assignments pane, the assigned customer is displayed.
In the Manager, customers and groups cannot be assigned as group managers.
