Devices
You can view your devices in the Devices menu and assign new devices to yourself. If you have sufficient permissions, you can add new devices or make changes to the device assignments for your staff.
To open the "Devices" menu
- Open the menu Responsibilities | My Responsibilities and click Devices.

Adding New Devices
You can assign devices to employee in the Devices menu.
To add a new device
- Open the menu, Devices and click Add new device.
- Set one of the following in Device type in the Add a new device view.
- Mobile phone
- Personal computer
- Tablet
- Assign the model you want in Device model and click Next.
This opens the Add a new device view with more input fields. The type of data input required depends on the type of device. Enter the following data.

Time and date to deactivate the device.

Name of the operating system.
Enter the name of the operating system used by the device. |
Operating system version |
Operation system's version.
Enter the version number of the operating system currently installed on the device. |
Carrier

Name of the carrier.
Enter the name of the carrier to be used with the device. |
IMEI

IMEI number.
Enter the IMEI number if this device is a mobile phone. |

Editing Master Data
In the Device menu, you can edit the master data of devices you already manage. You could assign a tablet to another employee, for example, or change the device's status, the manufacturer or the device model. You can also add any missing information in the master data.
To edit the master data of a managed device
- Click on the device to edit in the Devices view.
- Set the following master data.

Adding Tags for Service Items
You can add tags if you are the product owner and the service item can be requested in the IT Shop. Tags help the requester to find the service item for a request, faster. You can search within the Request menu or with the global search in the Web Portal. For more information, see Finding Service Items.
Tags can be added in the Manager as well as in the Web Portal. Add tags in the Web Portal as a product owner. For more detailed information, see the One Identity Manager IT Shop Administration Guide.
To add a tag for a service item
- Open the menu My Responsibilities and click a responsibility, for example System entitlements.
- Select the Overview and click on the object name in the Service item shape.
- Select the Tag view on the object's page and click New tag.
- Enter the new tag and other information about the tag in the Create a new tag dialog box.
- Click Save.
You can add more tags for the object.
