Error: The password of the account has expired

When attempting to connect to any of the front end tools while using the direct database connection the following error is displayed:

Login failed for user 'database user'. Reason: The password of the account has expired.

The database user configured for the direct SQL server connection has an expired password.

Follow the steps below to update the password:

1. Open up SQL Management Studio
2. Input the servername provided by the Identity Manager On Demand configuration
3. Input the username provided by the Identity Manager On Demand configuration
4. Input the password provided by the Identity Manager On Demand configuration
5. A prompt to update the password will be displayed when attempting to connect
6. Enter the same password as in step 4
7. Enter a new password
8. Click OK

Please take note of the password that was entered on step seven as it is not saved anywhere within the Identity Manager On Demand infrastructure.
Please note some Identity Manager On Demand Starling Edition instances are using Azure SQL, this means that a password policy is not used for the connection account as this is not supported by this type of SQL.
