Software Updates Dialog

When you select Settings | Software Updates or the Software updates are available button in the status bar, the Software Updates dialog displays. From this dialog, you can see what software updates are available, as well as access the Support Portal to download the latest version.

Option Description
Use the Refresh button to retrieve and redisplay the latest information.
Use the Exit button to close the Software Updates dialog.
Product This dialog displays the software updates that are available, including product and client software updates. It also displays the version number of the update available for download and the current version installed.
Get updates from Technical Support at the Support Portal Select Support Portal to launch the Contact Support page to locate and download the latest software.
Automatically check for updates By default this option automatically checks for software updates when you launch the mangement console. If you do not want to automatically check for updates, clear this check box.

Note: When you download updated client software, be sure to copy these files (client directory) to the location where the client software is located on the server. You can find this location in System Settings.

Customize Content in Data Grids

You can customize the contents of the various data grids displayed throughout the mangement console using the column heading controls as described below.

Note: Changes made to the data grids are not retained across browser sessions.

Sorting data

An arrow in the column heading identifies the sort criteria and order, ascending or descending, used to display the data.


All Hosts data grid: Default sort order is by Host.

All Local Users data grid: Default sort order is by Name.

To change the sort criteria

  • Click the column heading to change the sort to ascending order; click the heading a second time to change the sort to descending order.
  • To change the sort criteria and sort order in a single step, place your cursor on the column heading, click the arrow control to the right of the heading and select either Sort Ascending or Sort Descending.

Hiding columns

To hide or reveal columns

  1. To hide columns, place your cursor on a column heading, open the drop-down menu, navigate to the Columns option and deselect the columns you want to hide.

    Deselected columns are hidden from the grid.

  2. To redisplay any hidden columns, place your cursor on a column heading, open the drop-down menu, navigate to the Columns option and select the columns you want to display.

    Selected columns are displayed in the grid.
