Assigning groups to administrative units

You can assign groups to administrative units and use an administrative unit to manage these groups' role permissions.

To assign groups directly to an administrative unit

  1. In the Manager, select the Microsoft Entra ID > Administrative units category.

  2. Select the administrative unit in the result list.

  3. In the Add assignments pane, assign the groups.

    TIP: In the Remove assignments pane, you can remove the assignment of groups.

    To remove an assignment

    • Select the group and double-click .

  4. Save the changes.

Microsoft Entra ID subscriptions and Microsoft Entra ID service principals

Information about Microsoft Entra ID subscriptions and Microsoft Entra ID service plans within a Microsoft Entra ID tenant is loaded into One Identity Manager during synchronization. In One Identity Manager, you cannot create new Microsoft Entra ID subscriptions or Microsoft Entra ID service plans. However, in One Identity Manager, you can edit certain main data of requesting the Microsoft Entra ID subscription in the IT Shop and for user account assignments.

NOTE: A Microsoft Entra ID user account can also obtain Microsoft Entra ID subscriptions through its Microsoft Entra ID groups. You cannot edit assignments by Microsoft Entra ID groups in One Identity Manager.

Editing Microsoft Entra ID subscription main data

To edit Microsoft Entra ID subscription main data

  1. In the Manager, select the Microsoft Entra ID > Subscriptions category.

  2. Select a Microsoft Entra ID subscription in the result list.

  3. Select the Change main data task.

  4. Edit the Microsoft Entra ID subscription's main data.

  5. Save the changes.

Property

Description

SKU display name

The SKU display name of the Microsoft Entra ID subscription. For example, AAD_Premium or RMSBASIC.

Tenant

Tenant given for this Microsoft Entra ID subscription.

Subscription status

The Microsoft Entra ID subscription status, such as enabled (active).

Purchased licenses

The number of licenses purchased.

Assigned licenses

Number of actively used licenses.

Suspended licenses

Number of suspended licenses.

Warning units

Number of licenses with a warn status.

IT Shop

Specifies whether the Microsoft Entra ID subscription can be requested through the IT Shop. This Microsoft Entra ID subscription can be requested by your employees through the Web Portal and allocated by defined approval processes. The Microsoft Entra ID subscription can still be assigned directly to user accounts and hierarchical roles.

Only for use in IT Shop

Specifies whether the Microsoft Entra ID subscription can only be requested through the IT Shop. This Microsoft Entra ID subscription can be requested by your employees through the Web Portal and allocated by defined approval processes. The Microsoft Entra ID subscription may not be assigned directly to hierarchical roles.

Service item

Service item data for requesting the Microsoft Entra ID subscription through the IT Shop.

Risk index

Value for evaluating the risk of assigning the Microsoft Entra ID subscription to Microsoft Entra ID user accounts. Set a value in the range 0 to 1. This field is only visible if the QER | CalculateRiskIndex configuration parameter is set.

Category

Category for Microsoft Entra ID subscription inheritance. Microsoft Entra ID subscriptions can be selectively inherited by Microsoft Entra ID user accounts. To do this, the Microsoft Entra ID subscriptions the Microsoft Entra ID user accounts are divided into categories. Use this drop-down to allocate one or more categories to the Microsoft Entra ID subscription.

Extended properties are meta objects, such as operating codes, cost codes, or cost accounting areas that cannot be mapped directly in One Identity Manager.

To specify extended properties for a Microsoft Entra ID subscription

  1. In the Manager, select the Microsoft Entra ID > Subscriptions category.

  2. Select a Microsoft Entra ID subscription in the result list.

  3. Select Assign extended properties.

  4. In the Add assignments pane, assign extended properties.

    TIP: In the Remove assignments pane, you can remove assigned extended properties.

    To remove an assignment

    • Select the extended property and double-click .

  5. Save the changes.
